In memory of Roy J. MacDonald, Sr

Advisor & Officer # 17.  

Roy was an advisor from approx 1969-1975

Roy passed away February 28, 2005 at age 64.

An open letter from a Police Explorer that made a difference in his life.

"Ok lets see, to be quite honest with you I don't know where to start. I
can't remember which of your email's I responded to so I guess I'll start
there.
First , feel free to call anytime I'll be sure to give you all my info at
the end. That would be great. I of course remember Mike Whipple, Dan
McElroy, and Danny Dow do you remember Mark and Lori Elderkin? I believe
Lori was the first girl in the Post. If you have email addresses for any of
these I would love to get them. I already have Mike Whipple's.

As far as my time in the Post I believe I was in from 1971-1974, I believe
the highest rank I made was Lt. Just before I left the Post and joined the
USMC. Many good memories come to mind thinking about the old days.

Whenever I think about those days in the Post I can't help but remember Roy
MacDonald. He was not only part of the Post but, he was also my Big Brother.
He was responsible for getting me to come visit and join. I miss Roy. I'm
sorry that he and I lost touch all those years ago after he and Jean split.
Deep down he was a good man......
